One Love Foundation GOT SHOES? 3000!!
One World, One Heart, One Love Ship arrived Nov 3rd!!
This year's 2009 shipment has wheelchairs,walkers, crutches, shoes, clothing, medical and school supplies, furniture, bicycles, and more...did we say, "THANK YOU!" for making this all possible? From Palmerton, Coaldale, Lansford, Summit Hill, Jim Thorpe, Mahanoy City, McAdoo, Tamaqua, Penn Kidder, and NHA supporters countrywide...
We ship 40 ft. cargo containers to the orphanage which are filled to the brim with donations .Not an easy undertaking, the total cost to ship these containers from the eastern U.S. to Sierra Leone exceeds $7000. One Love could not exist without the many volunteers and supporters who help to make these shipments possible. Packing, stacking, collecting, sorting, ....each box filled with love!
As an organization, we have helped provide the orphanage with donations of:
- Mosquito nets
- Diesel generator
- Food
- Dental products (toothbrushes and toothpaste)
- Clothing
- Household goods
- Shoes (over 3000!!)
- Appliances
- Fabric
- Hygiene products (soap and shampoo)
- Baby food
- School equipment
- Medicine/medical supplies
- Tools/building supplies
- Utility vehicles
PENN KIDDER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GIVES BACK! American Idol has nothing on the children of Penn Kidder who really know how to give back! Thank you for your support and donations from Multicultural Night! One Love is a volunteer-based organization, which relies heavily on our community and churches for most of our donations and fund-raisers. With a dedicated group of volunteers, we hope to continue to raise the much-needed funds in order to keep this program alive.
